the kenwood:
smiles all around. our last show. this senoir home is actually right across the street from where i live so we just walked across the street. everyone was so very nice to us. the room was smaller but it was packed! the people loved it. there were people crying they were laughing so hard! most of the people still had all their pieces together and just loved the show! some people talked to us about how they used to act. the whole place was lit with smiles and joy for us. they loved it and wanted us back! it was the best last show that we could have ever asked for. it was amazing! the people loved the show they loved us. they thought it was cool that i lived across the street and just so excited about the show! it was really fun. we had such a great time. it was a wonderful bang out. felt really good to walk back home. know that it is over and know that it was one of the best things that i could be doing. i want to continue to give back to people. have people interact with others. people to get together and have the best time. that is what life is all about. live it. feel it. interact with everyone around you and know that strangers can love you without even knowing a thing about you!
thank you to donald steele, my family, friends, lovers, and lost. i love you all and think of you often.

minnetonka senior center
06.12.07
somewhere in minnetonka we found the senoir center that we arrived late to. something about a U turn that really didnt exist diverted us sideways. however. it was a nice little place with good cookies and high celings. it was really nice. the people really didnt laugh that much but we could hear some people. we wernt mic'ed which was fine. i think it was a little early for them maybe. maybe it was a little to early for me. cody was mad about the man moving our boxes but really i thought it was ok. this is the last day and it feels good and sad at the same time. it is good that this tour is going to be over. but also sad because we have a great time. todays performance was good. we got back home and ate some spaghetti O's and grilled cheese. all in all it was ok.
'my mom wrote the play!' 'really? i dont know if that is true'

my goodness i dont even know where things go. well this was the show that was at the beat coffehouse on the night of the 10th of june. this show was the second one for the public. i think that cody and i got a little bit more excited about the show than it turned out to be. i just need to know as an actress that there wont always be people there. i guess i have higher hopes for my friends. and i wish that those of them that said that they would be there would have been there. i know that cody feels the same way about the show. i think that it turned out to be an amazing show. there were many special people to me though. amoung them my acting teacher from highschool who gave me love from the beginning. she has helped to mold me to who i am today. it meant the world to have her there with me. she loved it. she cried. she loved it. there were also people who i was expecting to come who showed up. the show went well. we forgot some lines stumbled but picked ourselves up. it turned out to be something amazing and i was happy with it. there is much support for us which is really wonderful. makes me happy and excited to be a part of.

birchwood care facility
06.12.07
after a brief lunch and some video games/ rest and laugh time cody and i hit the road again for another place. birchwood care facility. honestly cody and i went into this place when we wanted to go to the aldrich place on the 31st of may. which is funny. the people were really nice. the audience was shy and didnt say much. the show went ok. no one laughed. no correction there were a few laughs but not many. i dont know if they understood the play really. but thats ok. the show was still nice. there was a man afterward that was telling us about chanhassen and how he used to do shows at the U in 1960 something! which was cool. it was weird for me. i had all this energy all ready and it was funneled into this show. but sometimes it is hard to do a show when no one is laughing. but that is somthing that we need to know is part of the truth of the project. and i love it ever minute. even the hard ones

keystone was the morning show that cody and i were doing today. i woke up with a sore throat so i was sorta in a weird mood anyways. keystone had been calling cody and making sure we were coming and then to come early and then on time and all this jazz so it was fun. we made it to the place. this was the first show that was up on a stage! it felt good to be on a stage! the people were there. which was nice. they were having a good time. the show was a hit. i think the best show if not one of the best that we have had yet! they loved us. they were laughing having a great time. just loved it. they were eating watermelon and laughing and having a wonderful time. we had a little session at the end to talk about the show and talk about chase who was put on the program. it was interesting to see that people wanted to know about chase. it was good to talk about him. part of me didnt think i would be able to but it turned out to be ok. the people had a great time. they were talking with us and had a great time. they even gave us lunch which they were handing out! it was really nice of them! we had a great time today. it set me in a great mood. lovin the tour!

lyngbloomston
06.11.07
i dint get a chance to write about yesterday. been too busy with my constant life. but yesterday we went to lyngbloomston. i think one of the most interesting part of this journey is that we are never really certain what is going to be set upon us. there were good friends of both cody and i who came to the performance which was really nice. all in all i think the performance (wise) was great. we didnt miss lines or anything. it was smooth. the people who were there were older and more in living care. there was one lady who was talking with us about the showboat. which was really funny. i think one thing that threw cody off was how the facility reacted or acted in general to us. we got the vibe that they didnt really want us there and wanted to hurry us along our way. which was interesting. but thats what this project is. an experiment of touring a show. everything is differnt and everything is sometimes improv. i think that i try to gage the crowed and how they will react. i dont want to say it but i think in the sad part i sometimes hold a little back because im not sure how they will react and i dont want to upset people or bring them into a place of sadness. so i try to look for what people are doing in the beginning and gage from there. i guess it is all chance.

oh ps on this one. i think we were also suprized about the faculty members and their anger/impatience because my mother had been talking last night about how she knows people who are there and how it is such a nice place! which is just weird to expect something different and then get something completely not what you thought.

the truth in acting is that no matter how big a crowd no matter what kind of crowd it is still a show. this was our second show today. we hit mcdonalds before we went to the place. we got lost within the hills of sub-urbies and came to rest at a nice place. the people were a little older and had a harder time getting them in. they wanted us to use mics but its hard for this show because we move around so much. but it was still good. we had a good time. i dont think that they could hear us that well. but it was good. people were happy i think which is fun for us. it was still a good show. no matter what. but it is fun and interesting to record what people think and to do differently. it was a great day. much love to all.

the beat revisisted
oh god!
these are all out of order! sometimes im a mess inside. but i wanted to record the beat coffeehouse on the 29th on may. it was the most amazing one yet. the atmosphere was incredible. all of our family and freinds came. they love the play and they think that we are such a great couple together. infact many people asked us if we were "going together". i smile and say that we just have amazing chemestry together. which is true. this play is all about chemestry and about these two people who have known eachother for so long they know how to push eachother's buttons. everyone loves it. they have been laughing and loving the show. i feel really good about this show. we are giving back to people in the community, i think that we picked the best play too. because it is sad but it is really funny sandwhiched inbetween the funny and it is perfect. im so excited for more shows! all of our efforts and hard work has proven to be amazing for us. i think we are going to continue the tour idea of giving to the community and people more. it is an incredible feeling. and just amazing for everyone. thank you all for making this so wonderful for us!

senior skyway! what a hit! it proved to be more of a venue for an outlet of artists than i thought it would be. the lady who was involved in the contact was really open and really ready for us and excited about working with tenticle productions which is amazing becuase we have many more things that we are doing! honestly i didnt really feel in the show. i mean i didnt really feel like i was in my character but cody said that it went really well and he really loved it. they were laughing but not as much as the aldrich crew! maybe they were just listening. but anyways it was good. we took a couple of trips up and back. which was nice. we had a great time i think. cody was really in it and it was really fun. good times were had. they want us to do some art things and get more involved. we had a great time. there were so many nice people. i loved it. the second place canceled on us. which sucks. they said something about the weather being a tornado but it is sunny out and really nice. huh? well whatever.
we were amazing!
